Mindfulness

Learn the basics of how to bring mindfulness into your everyday life.  When we become mindful, our stress levels drop, we sleep better and our lives flow smoother. This four-week course can have a profound impact on your perspective on life and can help to stimulate meaningful and constructive changes.

Baby Connections

Come and make connections with services in the community and other parents. Each week, we will have a professional come in to speak about a baby-related topic. Enjoy time with your little one, get some great tips, and learn some tools to help you become a better parent. 

Dates:  Wednesdays, January 10 to June 27, 2018
Time:  1:30 pm to 2:30 pm

Drop the kids off in a supervised environment while you take one of our fitness classes, work out in the Wellness Centre gym, run or walk on our free track, or join in some recreation activities. While you are enjoying your alone time the kids will engage in crafts, movies, and playtime.

Every Wednesday from 5:00 pm- 8:00 pm in the child mind room

Ages: 4-10

Cost: $5 per child

This is a drop in only service, parents must stay in the building at all times.

Caregivers and children can skate together and practice skating skills in an enjoyable slower paced environment

Parent and Tot skate is free for members. Non-members drop in rates apply.

Managing Fighting and Aggression  

It is natural for children to have disagreements or arguments at times. However, when children fight, the risk is that someone will be hurt. If not dealt with early, fighting and aggression can get worse. This discussion group will give some suggestions to help you teach your children to solve problems and get along with others. Childcare may be available. Please register at least 3 days in advance if you require childcare.
