Recreation and Cultural Grant Program
The City of Cold Lake is committed to developing a fair grant policy that supports funding to develop or enhance comprehensive and diverse recreation and culture programs within the community. The Recreation and Cultural Grant Program supports development and enhancement of comprehensive and diverse recreation and culture programs within the community.

Grants are available to not-for-profit groups based within the boundaries of the City of Cold Lake who demonstrate a need for financial support. The organization’s activities must contribute to developing, stimulating and improving recreation and culture within the City.

Development Grant
To encourage and support new recreation and cultural events in the community. Development Grants are available for a period of two consecutive years to a maximum of $2,000 each year.

Travel Grant
To assist individuals, teams and cultural groups, participating in athletic or cultural events at a provincial, national or international level. Up to a maximum of $500 per individual and $1,000 per team per calendar year will be considered.

Special Event Grant
To encourage and support diverse and comprehensive recreation and culture programs, special events or tournaments within the City. A maximum of $1,000 per organization per event each year will be considered.

Equipment Grant
To assist new or established non-profit organizations in repairing or purchasing equipment, up to a maximum of $500 per organization per calendar year.

Leadership Grant
To assist with the development of coaches, officials and cultural group leaders who are interested in upgrading their skills and knowledge for the greater benefit of the organization and community. A maximum of $2,000 will be made available per organization or $750 per individual, per calendar year.
