Rural Renewal Stream

The City of Cold Lake has temporarily closed applications for new candidate endorsement letters, allowing for a focus on renewing letters for employees who have previously been supported in their application to the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) by the Government of Alberta. 

If new endorsement letter applications are reopened, the City of Cold Lake will reach out to employers enrolled in the program and advise them of the ability to apply. Endorsement Letter Renewals

Endorsement letters are not being renewed unless an employee has been invited to apply to AAIP by the Government of Alberta. Employees can use expired letters to submit their Expression of Interest (EOI) and only require a current letter if they are invited to AAIP.

If you have been invited to apply to AAIP from the EOI pool and require your letter renewed, please fill in the Endorsement Letter Renewal Request form. Requests made by email or phone will not be accepted.

Requests for letter renewals without proof of invitation to apply to AAIP will not be responded to.

Alberta Opportunity Stream

If you are a qualified Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) candidate and are already living and working in Alberta, the Alberta Opportunity Stream (AOS) is another route you can take to obtain permanent residency. If you have a current full-time job offer from an Alberta employer in an eligible occupation, you can apply online through the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program Portal.
