APEGA Science Olympics

Students are given a series of problem-solving challenges that demonstrate the fun side of engineering and geoscience, allowing them to turn everyday objects into engineering marvels and solve geoscience mysteries! Events are designed to build a team spirit and challenge their collective creativity! Hosted by the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta (APEGA) Lakeland Branch in partnership with FCSS.

Enjoy an afternoon of creating birdfeeders for our feathered friends to help them through the remainder of the winter. This is a great opportunity for children to strengthen their fine motor and communication skills while using their imagination with recycled materials to help local wildlife.

Meet Parent Link staff at Col. J.J. Parr swimming pool for a free family swim! We have the leisure pool and slide booked just for us. Make sure you bring all your swimming gear. Please keep in mind that Col. J.J. Parr safety policy requires a ratio of one child to one adult.

It’s peak cold and flu season and germs are everywhere. We will explore germs through the glow germ experiment and talk about the importance of handwashing. Resources will be available to help you decide if all bugs need drugs.
