Councillor Ryan Bailey

Councillor Ryan Bailey was born and raised in Medicine Hat and has called Cold Lake home since 2002. He was first elected to City Council in 2021 and proudly continues to serve the community in his second term.

With a background in education and community service, Ryan brings a practical, people-first approach to decision-making. He believes in open communication and encourages residents to share their ideas and concerns to help shape the city’s future together. He is passionate about supporting local business, strengthening community programs, and ensuring Cold Lake remains a great place for families to live, work, and grow.

When he’s not at City Hall, Ryan can often be found teaching, volunteering, or spending time with his wife Megan and their children, Aidan and Quinlan.
