Emergency Social Service Volunteer Recruitment Evening

Emergency Social Service Volunteer Recruitment Evening

Join us if you are interested in working in partnership with FCSS staff in the event of a local emergency or disaster.

We are seeking compassionate people to commit to training alongside our FCSS staff to prepare for when we are asked to help our neighbours or in the event that we need to help our own community.  People from all walks of life are encouraged to apply and no experience is necessary.

In the event of a local emergency or disaster, Cold Lake and District FCSS is responsible for delivering Emergency Social Services (ESS).  ESS provides for the emotional and physical needs of individuals and families affected by an emergency or disaster.  Some examples of assistance provided by ESS include: emergency food, lodging, clothing, transportation, information, pet lodging and care, emotional support and first aid.

Volunteers must be registered in order to participate in any type of response.  There is always a volunteer role that will match your interest and skills.
