Snow Angels
Have you ever spotted a "Snow Angels" sign in a neighbour's yard and wondered what it meant? The Snow Angels program aims to encourage neighbours to help one another keep all the sidewalks clear and everyone’s home accessible. The program relies on the good will of neighbourhood volunteers to shovel snow for their neighbours who need assistance.
If you see a Snow Angels Sign in your neighbourhood, please consider removing the snow from the driveway and sidewalk at that home!
Snow Angel Self-Reporting Form
If you are a snow angel that has helped a fellow resident in keeping their walkway or driveway clear of snow, we want to hear from you! Follow the link below to report your act of kindness so we can recognize your selfless effort and to be entered into a monthly prize draw!
Do you Need a Snow Angel?
Seniors and people with disabilities who need assistance removing snow are eligible for this program. The program runs from mid-October to mid-April, with signs distributed and picked up by FCSS staff. If you require assistance with snow removal, please contact Cold Lake and District FCSS beginning Oct. 1 at fcss@coldlake.com or call 780-594-4495.
Placement of a Snow Angel sign on a yard is not a guarantee that snow will be removed.
