CAO Nagoya receives Dedicated Chief Administrative Officer Award

At the Alberta Municipalities Convention held last week, Chief Administrative Officer Kevin Nagoya received the Dedicated Chief Administrative Officer Award. The award recognizes Mr. Nagoya’s more than 17 years of service as a CAO and more than 20 years of total service in the City of Cold Lake, having started with the municipality as the Director of Infrastructure Services prior to taking the helm of the city’s administration. 

In Mr. Nagoya’s tenure as CAO, he has seen tens of millions of dollars’ worth of new revenue come to the city via sustainability agreements, overseen the building of state-of-the-art facilities, and prepared the community for a significant amount of growth – both in the past and expected in the near future. 

The Dedicated Chief Administrative Officer Award is reserved for administrators who have served at least 10 years and who have demonstrated a high level of integrity while making an outstanding contribution to the field of municipal administration. Mr. Nagoya received the award at a ceremony held on September 22 before the award was formally announced to the entire Alberta Municipalities membership on September 25.
