Two winners named in Community Beautification Awards

Cold Lake, AB – Two residential properties were awarded the Community Beautification Award for making curbside improvements to their homes this summer.

The first home, 1604 7 Ave, created a three-foot wide garden along the front of the house and part of the driveway and added a flower bed to the middle of the front lawn.

The second home, 3 Bruyer Crescent, made improvements to their exterior front entry and garage door, as well as landscaping clean up.

“It’s nice to see residents taking pride in their homes and making these kinds of improvements,” said Mayor Bob Mattice.

Both properties were each awarded $250 for their curbside improvements.

The Community Beautification Awards were created to encourage residents to make efforts that beautify their residential and commercial properties, specifically related to curbside improvements that improve the frontage of the property.
