Olesia

Hi everyone, my name is Olesia and it's my first year with the Cold Lake Youth Council. I am currently a Grade 11 student, so my life mostly revolves around school; I'm passionate about math and chemistry, but also enjoy reading and different crafts, especially beading in my free time. My family came to Cold Lake not so long ago and I joined the council because I wanted to become more involved in the community. I'm really enjoying our meetings and the work that we've done so far, and I'm excited to work on our future projects.

Brianna

Hi, I’m Brianna, a 9th-grade student at Assumption J/S High School. I’m passionate about community involvement and spend a lot of my time volunteering and  love supporting local initiatives. I love spending time with friends in public spaces, connecting with people, and being part of projects that make a difference. In September 2024, I joined the Youth Council, and I’m committed to contributing to its projects and continuing to make a positive impact in my community.

Sarah

Hi, my name is Sarah and I go to Assumption J/S High School. I’m currently in 9th grade and proud to say I am in the French immersion program. I enjoy multiple hobbies such as crochet, drawing as well as other creative ways to spend my time. I joined the Cold Lake Youth Council in October 2025 and am eager to be a part of something that would help the community grow to its full potential!

Nicolas

Hello! I’m Nicolas, and I’m in 11th grade in École Voyageur. Throughout my three years with CLYC, I’ve been able to meet incredible people and organizations, and learn more about how our city works. Additionally, CLYC has let me share my love for chess with others through our chess club. As Mayor, I’ve been able to improve my leadership and communication skills. Outside of CLYC and chess, I’m passionate about piano, musical creation, skiing, and francophone culture.

Alexis

Hello, my name is Alexis, and this is my first year being a part of the Cold Lake Youth Council. Aside from my time spent at school as an eleventh grade student - I am passionate about medicine, animals, crafting, baking and cooking. I joined the Cold Lake Youth Council because I enjoy being a part of the betterment of our community, and would love to have the chance to help the youth who need it most! 

Maryam

Hello, my name is Maryam and I am a Grade 11 student in École Voyageur with strong interests in health, technology, sports and youth leadership. I am committed to creating experiences that empower and inspire others. This is my first year with the Cold Lake Youth Council, and I hope to help foster a strong sense of identity, connection, and unity within the youth of our community. I am excited to contribute to initiatives that will uplift and strengthen the Cold Lake Community.

Mohammad

Hello! I am Mohammad, and I’m a Grade 10 student at Cold Lake High School and a first-year member of the Cold Lake Youth Council. I enjoy being part of the council because it gives me the chance to hear and bring youth ideas to life in the community. I also do swimming and martial arts. 

Ella

Hi, my name is Ella and I go to Cold Lake High School, and I am in grade 11. I like to spend time with friends and family, long boarding, camping, and being outside. I joined the Cold Lake Youth Council in July 2025 and I love having a part in making a positive impact in the community.

Rome

Hi my name is Rome. I am in grade 9 and go to Cold Lake Junior High School. I like to play soccer, do crafts, be with family and I love animals. I joined the Cold Lake Youth Council in July of 2025 and I love having a role in the community.
