Lakeland Youth Awards

The Cold Lake Youth Council has created a new initiative to recognize the extraordinary achievements of young people in the Lakeland area. The Lakeland Youth Awards aims to put a spotlight on youth who go above and beyond in several fields.

Many youth in our area demonstrate motivation and make valuable contributions to their community. This is your chance to give them the recognition they deserve!

Email youthcouncil@coldlake.com to submit your nomination today.

Guidelines

  • Nominees must be between the ages of 12 and 21, except for the youth ally award, who must be above the age of 21.
  • Nominees must live in the Lakeland. "The Lakeland" refers to communities in Northeast Alberta situated north of the North Saskatchewan River and commonly served by Lakeland regional media and services, including (but not limited to) Cold Lake, Bonnyville, St. Paul, Elk Point, Lac La Biche, and nearby rural areas.
  • Nominees must have completed their volunteer work or community contributions within the Lakeland during the 2025 calendar year.
  • Nominees can not nominate themselves.
  • Nominees (or legal guardians of minors who are nominated), must consent to their nomination.
  • Nominees and/or their guardians will require written consent by completing a City of Cold Lake consent form before the voting date (May 13.)
  • Nominators are asked to ensure that they have the verbal consent of the nominee before submitting a submission (no surprise nominations, please)
