Senior Programs

Seniors are a celebrated part of our community. In 2019, the City of Cold Lake proudly hosted the Alberta 55+ Winter Games with over 800 senior athletes in attendance from across the province competing for their provincial titles.

Cold Lake and District FCSS is available to assist with referrals or help with forms. Please call 780-594-4495 for more information.

Seniors' Week

Seniors' Week is celebrated in June every year. Together with local community partners, the week is filled with different events and intergenerational activities for seniors and their families. For more information, keep watch on our Community Calendar for June's events or contact Cold Lake and District FCSS at 780-594-4495.

CREAT (Community Response to Elder Abuse)

A regional response team to combat elder abuse, CREAT is accessed through Cold Lake and District FCSS. For more information, please call 780-594-4495.

International Day of Older Persons

On October 1, we celebrate the International Day of Older Persons by raising awareness about issues affecting the elderly. It is also a day to appreciate the contributions our seniors give to our society. On October 3, the Cold Lake and District FCSS will be holding a pie social to celebrate local seniors and their contribution to our community.
