Paying a Fine

There are two common types of infraction tickets issued in Cold Lake and options for paying the fine depend on the type of ticket you received.
Bylaw Violation Notice
If you received a bylaw violation notice for violating a City of Cold Lake Bylaw, it must be paid to The City of Cold Lake. These tickets are yellow in colour and have The City of Cold Lake logo printed at the top. Payment for bylaw violations is due thirty (30) days from the date the ticket was issued.

If you received a provincial (Government of Alberta) violation ticket, it must be paid to the Government of Alberta. There are several options for fine payment. Provincial violation tickets are yellow or pink in colour and have the words "Province of Alberta" printed at the top. They are issued by RCMP officers or provincial law enforcement officers including Alberta Sheriffs, Fish and Wildlife Officers, Park Rangers and City of Cold Lake Peace Officers.
