Bylaws and Policies
This page contains bylaws and policies enacted and enforced by the City of Cold Lake.
Bylaws are laws created under the authority of the Municipal Government Act. City of Cold Lake bylaws are enacted by City Council and maintained by the City’s Legislative Services Department.
Policies set overarching principles, guidelines and standards of operation within the City of Cold Lake, by providing standards for decision making, guidelines for programs, addressing recurring issues and/or setting the manner by which the City will perform duties imposed on itself or those imposed on the City by legislation. City policies are approved by City Council through resolution and maintained by the City’s Legislative Department.
Bylaws and policies, as presented here, have no legal sanction and are presented solely for the purpose of research and ease of reference. If you require an official copy of a bylaw or policy, the most up-to-date version or a bylaw or policy that is not listed here, please contact the City of Cold Lake Legislative Services Department at 780-594-4494.
