Brent Genesis
Aviation expert and investor, Brent Genesis grew up on a family farm in Southern Alberta, where he developed the strong work ethic and practical approach that continue to shape his career today. After completing his Aviation Studies and earning his Professional Pilot Licence in 2001, he began his career in aviation during a challenging period for the industry following 9/11. While he gained experience in entry-level flying roles, he quickly discovered a talent for the business side of aviation, specializing in private charters.
In 2011, Brent founded Genesis Aviation, an organization focused on private charter aviation services. Through his work in business aviation, he connected with Jesse Kornelson, a corporate jet Captain and future business partner where together they founded Flight Insight in 2016. Today, Flight Insight is a leading Canadian aviation compliance and drone technology company providing solutions for both industry and government.
Flight Insight has expanded its expertise to meet the growing demand for drone safety, compliance excellence, and operational support. Today, the team delivers comprehensive manned and unmanned compliance, safety, and airspace management solutions, advancing world class organizational programs from the energy and utilities sector to several government departments.
Brent brings a unique perspective that combines operational aviation experience, entrepreneurial leadership, and a passion for advancing the safe integration of drone technology into commercial operations.
Brent and his wife, Heather, have been married for 28 years and have called Carstairs, Alberta, home for the past 20 years. Together they have raised three children, and today Brent enjoys working alongside one of his daughters as the family continues to build on their shared commitment to innovation and excellence in aviation.
