Elliot has worked in a variety of sectors including tourism, retail sales, social work and even started his own company prior to joining the Government of Canada in 2000. Elliot began his public service career with Service Canada and later Agriculture Canada’s Rural and Co-operatives promoting the federal government’s role in economic development in rural communities across the prairies. He joined Western Economic Diversification(now PrairiesCan) in 2013 and has been supporting defence procurement activities for the department since 2015, now managing the Regional Defence Investment Initiative funding for Alberta.

Elliot loves travelling, riding motorcycles, BBQs, outdoor firepits, hiking and holds a black belt in karate which he teaches on a regular basis.
