Margeaux Maron
Margeaux Maron is Director, Government & Corporate Relations at Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and Villeneuve Airport (ZVL), where she works at the intersection of aviation, government, industry and emerging technology. Her work focuses on building partnerships that strengthen regional connectivity, advance innovation, and support the future of aerospace in Canada.
Edmonton Airports is a global leader in commercial drone integration and advanced RPAS operations in controlled airspace, earning the 2024 Transport Canada Aviation Safety Award for this work. This recognition underscores Edmonton Airports’ reputation as one of Canada’s most trusted and collaborative drone innovators.
As one of the convening leaders behind the Edmonton Region Defence Alliance, Margeaux works to position Western Canada as an investable destination for defence growth and innovation. Her focus is on connecting industry, government, and operators to safely and securely test and advance emerging technologies where Edmonton’s geography, northern access, and airspace capabilities create a strategic advantage.
A key long-term vision of this work is strengthening defence and dual-use infrastructure while also improving quality of life in northern communities through the advancement of commercial drone delivery networks and next-generation aerial logistics.
